The Sims 2 Body Shop is a character creation and customization tool for
A standalone customization app
Before we go any further, you need to be aware of a few things. For starters, The Sims 2 Body Shop is already included in The Sims 2 - it's a bundled application, but you can't open it as the same time as The Sims itself. If you do choose to download this stand-alone version, however, bear in mind that it is very, very limited.
In theory, The Sims 2 Body Shop will let you customize your Sims character, changing everything from face shape to clothing. You can pick the age range of the Sim - infant, child, teen, adult or elder - and then work on almost any aspect of their appearance that you can think of. Once you are happy with the character you create using The Sims 2 Body Shop, you can then import it to The Sims 2.
In reality, however, this version of The Sims 2 Body Shop is more of a trial, giving you a limited taste of the tool's abilities. You can choose a few basics, but the majority of the more interesting options - as well as the body part and clothes designing modules - are restricted. Add this to the fact that The Sims 2 Body Shop looks horribly dated, and we think that unless the full app comes bundled with your copy of The Sims 2, it's best to give it a miss.
Unless The Sims 2 Body Shop comes bundled with your copy of The Sims 2, don't bother downloading this one.
